Update of the Android Honeycomb 3.1 on Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1


Google's Conference held in 2011 which was held in San Francisco introduced the latest OS from Google. As Android OS Update 3.1 for Tablet Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich that will soon be released by combining various branching version of Android that are now in every smartphone Android.

In the conference, Google also announced the first update of the Android Honeycomb 3.1. These updates are still given the same name because the updates are performed only slightly when compared to version 3.0. There are some minor improvements and optimizations in addition to some new feature of widgets that can be resized and support USB host mode to facilitate data transfer using the existing USB accessories. Android 3.1 also demonstrated in a quick game using the Xbox 360 controller. Currently Honeycomb Android 3.1 has been installed on Motorola Xoom and will be followed on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.  And  ASUS' Eee Pad Transformer.


In a sea of clones, ASUS managed to produce the first Honeycomb tablet that was truly different in more than just styling and software preload. As the first PC maker to build a Honeycomb tablet, ASUS brought some new perspective to the game - which had previously been dominated by players from the smartphone industry.

Parties Google also provides information on the development of Android. current according to Google Android device that has been activated amounted to more than 100 million units. Figures activation also increased to 400,000 per day. Android Market was also growing with the availability of more than 200,000 applications, with the number of applications exceeds the available free at Apple App Store.

Step 1: Check the firmware on your Motorola Xoom, it should asked you to update to Android 3.1.

Update Samsung Galaxy Tab to Android 3.1 Guide

Step 1: Download the Android 3.1 from android official website and find the update .zip file.

Step 2. Rename it to update.zip.

Step 3. Make a copy of the update.zip to the root of SD Card.

Step 4. Enter recovery mode.

Step 5. Choose Recovery.

Step 6. Your Samsung Galaxy Tab will restart and press the volume up and power button at the same time.

Step 7. Finally select "Apply sdcard:update.zip" with the trackball.
